1964 Jaguar 3.8 Liter E Type Roadster. VIN 881421 A solid running and driving example of the highly desirable Series I covered headlamp E Type. Older restoration (1990) that now exhibits normal signs of usage such as minor paint chips, wear and tear, etc. The interior is very good. The body and paint is generally good along with the chrome trim. A small amount of corrosion is evident under the bumpers. The 3.8L Jaguar engine block and head numbers (9:1 compression) match but are not original to the car. The 4 speed Moss box is original to the car as indicated on the VIN identification plate and verified by the Jaguar Diamler Heritage Certificate. Extensive history file dating to mid-1980s, recent comprehensive servicing to all systems, a nicely presented and well cared for driver quality example of the 3.8 L Series I. This car is a great opportunity to acquire a covered headlamp E Type at a reasonable price to drive and enjoy as is, then bring the car to the next level in the future.

EXCELLENT condition, original everything. No dents, dings or damage. Interior leather and black exterior paint are amazing. The convertible top, tires and rubber seals show almost no wear, woodgrain is near perfect. This Jaguar XK8 is a pleasure to drive and has very few flaws, an excellent example of pride of ownership. It has a few small issues: the auto-dimming rear view mirror does not function, and the telescoping function of the steering wheel doesn't work (goes up/down fine). The timing chain tensioners were changed in 2013, a must for these cars to ensure long engine life. This car is nothing short of a gem. I have a clear California title in my name. This vehicle is originally from the Saint Louis area and 2006 represent the last year of this classic body style.. I purchased it in December 2011 and believe I am the 3rd owner. It has spent the majority of its life with me in storage under cover and as such, I have only driven it about 3000 miles. This is the VICTORY EDITION. As far as I know it has every option, including the factory custom BLUE Convertible top, resulting in a stunning color combination. Car interior still has that "new car" smell to it.
