1967 plymouth barracuda - abilene, txclassic motor sportsabilene, tx 79601ph: 3256731818web: www. Cmsabilene. Comoptions:description:1967 plymouth barracuda notchback bright red-orange exterior / beige interior texas car this is the notchback hard top – one of my favorites plymouth made the 2nd. Generation barracuda (a-body) in a convertible, a fastback, & a notch back (2 door hard top) under the hood 273 v-8 (rebuilt about 3700 miles ago!) simple under the hood - lots of space to assess the engine fairly new belts, hoses, distributor cap, plugs, plug wires, radiator hoses & much more! Clean & neat – no signs of abuse or wreck or damage, no rust issues. New battery new battery quick disconnects edelbrock intake edelbrock 4 bbl carb chrome valve covers flex fan rear end, transmission, & suspension automatic on the column 7. 25 dana rear end – absolutely no problems ladder bars interior split bench seat column shift pretty much original - clean & crisp! New special order upholstery on the front & rear seat wrapped by the original vinyl. Original door panels, nice headliner, etc. Dash pad is in excellent condition. Original gauges include factory tach (not working) after market tach added for character & fun trunk area full size spare fits in the storage area original hardboard cover hides the spare big clean trunk has stayed dry. Not rusted out! (papers, & lawn chair were left in the trunk for over 3 years & were perfectly un-weathered) brakes good brakes – no problems rebuilt wheel cylinders exhaust 3” exhaust system - very few miles has great tone, but not too loud steering power steering – drives & steers great! Tight front end wheels/tires ss cragar wheels (14’s) nearly new radial tires exterior pretty sharp car – repaint (from a few years back) is still attractive & shiny – i love the color of bright red. This improved the car, in my opinion, from the original creamy color. Car has a small patch that can use a little attention the next time it is painted or restored in the lower front quarter - a typical place for a little rust. … nice & original all steel factory hood (resembles the 1967 chevelle hood) really sets the car off! No serious rust issues with this car. Garaged part of its’ life. Stereo factory push button radio still in the dash pioneer stereo tucked away in the glove box compartment stereo speakers mechanically i think it is great! I just inspected it & have no hesitation jumping in & taking off. Exceptionally fun car! Will appreciate in value. Note: in 1967 the barracuda had an all new body, no longer related to the valiant. From the distinctive nose to the coke-bottle rear fender, the car had a clean & functional appearance & some said it just fit on some of the tighter back country roads. In other words, it sure handled well. …… the barracuda was the competition of the “pony cars” like the camaro, firebird, mustang, cougar, etc.. It is pretty unique. This is the only 67 i’ve seen around here. The notchback really gets attention because of the character of the back glass. Cool cool car! 2003 & 2004 abilene, texas trophy winner!
