1957 1/2 Porsche 356A Sunroof Coupe titled as a 1958 (Clear Idaho title) VIN 102100. 67,385 kilometers on odometer. My car for 26 years, bought in 1989. I believe based on the service records I have that I'm the 4th owner. A 2.7 liter 911 engine was installed in the car in 1997 with all the other mechanical stuff, and a 3.0 went in around 2001 with the new paint (the stripes aren't decals but real paint with a clear coat, PPG urethane). Car is modified extensively, including the following parts: 1979 Porsche SC 3.0 big port engine, Weber carbs with high speed enrichment circuit, RSR type 1 5/8" headers (end at middle cylinder) with "S" tubes and factory 1974 muffler (magnet won't stick to it so assuming stainless steel). MSD ignition, Carter fuel pump. 12 volt system with tachometer from '67 911. Estimate horsepower at around 210. Transmission from 1973 911 (type 915 5 speed), '74 banana bars (alloy), '78 SC factory adjustable spring plates, 4 bolt half shafts from '74 911, Koni shocks front and rear, '74 911 rear brakes. Factory 26mm torsion bars from '86 930. 911 master cylinder and reservoir. Front suspension : 356 C spindles, with '78 SC hubs, '74 calipers and rotors, boxed trailing arms, reinforced C-links, 19mm sway bar. Adjusting slot for front torsion bars elongated to allow for lowering the front end if desired. E320 headlights from 1998 Mercedes, beehive turn/brake lights, 3rd brake light from 911 Targa. Rear flares from 930 (left front on right rear, right front on left rear), body split on each side to widen it so flares run parallel to body, section added across lower rear to lengthen body. Rear wheel spats installed with nutserts, so are removable, rollover bar has welded in mounts, but is removable. German wool carpet, door panels from Stoddard, interior done by professional. Some minor spots in paint, leaks some oil, otherwise runs great. Underside is solid, dry climate here in southern Idaho. First place in class 2002 Porsche Parade, also on the November 2002 cover of "The Windblown Witness" (San Diego Region PCA newsletter), it had Ruf wheels and huge Recaro seats then and no bumpers. No trades, serious bidders only please. Tachometer✔ Sunroof/Moonroof
